With fast development of computer hardware and computation technique, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis becomes a potential advanced tool to assist nuclear engineers to screen and optimize their design of nuclear power plant system and to understand the phenomena occurring in the reactor system during the operational and accidental conditions. In order to satisfy the demand of multi-scale simulation in the reactor system, the scientists have devoted themselves to develop innovative computational methodology, such as coupling the CFD simulation with neutronics calculation, subchannel and/or system analysis. To satisfy the requirement for the reactor design and safety analysis tool, CFD technology itself has to evolve and CFD users have to learn more. We, young nuclear engineers, are feeling our responsibility to meet the challenge! This workshop is dedicated to provide a platform for the young nuclear engineers to share their experience in CFD application and to bring every participant a journey to cutting-edge front of CFD technology.
